PSC Deploys New Police Commissioners to Nasarawa, Enugu, Plateau, Ondo
…charges them to be impartial, uphold learning and character
The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the posting of four Commissioners of Police following series of interviews that ascertained their fitness and suitability to undertake the tasks of their new offices.
This is contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the commission in Abuja .
The statement said CP Sunday J. A. Okoebor, the former CP Police Accounts and Budget, Force Headquarters has been deployed to Plateau State, while CP Fidelis Ogarabe from INTERPOL Annex Lagos, will take charge of Enugu State Command
Also, CP Sheikh Mohammed Danko, the former CP Force Intelligence Annex Lagos, will head Nasarawa State Command while CP Johnson Ayodeji Babalola, the former CP Special Inquiry FHQ Abuja, has been deployed as CP Ondo State.
The Chairman of the Commission, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu said the postings, are in line with the provisions of Section 215(1)(b) of the 1999 Constitution, which empowers the Commission to appoint Commissioners of Police for each state of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory.
The Chairman, who was represented by Hon. Justice Paul Adamu Galumje, noted that from the interviews, the Commissioners of Police have been found worthy in learning and character.
He urged them to be impartial and live up to the expectations of their new offices.
