Radda Approves N248m To Empower 634 Artisans 

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has approved the release of N248 million to procure starter packs for 634 artisans who completed training at the Katsina Youth Craft Village.

A statement by Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, media aide to the governor, said the gesture to transform the beneficiaries to active contributors to the economy of the state.

“By providing these starter packs, we are not just offering support, but creating pathways for sustainable livelihoods and economic independence for our youth,” he added.

The governor emphasised that the initiative was in line with the administration’s core objective of removing youth from unproductive environments and integrating them into meaningful economic ventures.

The Coordinator of the craft village, Engr. Kabir Abdullahi Kofar Soro, said students enrolled by the centre receive training that meets national and international skills standards, and are positioned to be job creators in their local communities.

He said the intervention underscores government’s commitment to nurturing human capital and creating sustainable economic opportunities for the youth.
