Sanusi 11 an invaluable asset to North- Sen.Ningi
Sen. Abdul Ningi (PDP-Bauchi) has described the Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sunusi II, as an valuable asset to the North.
Ningi, who represents Bauchi North at the National Assembly, said this when he received Sanusi on a condolence visit at the Palace of the late Emir of Ningi, Alhaji Inusa Danyaya over his death.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Chief of Staff to the Emir, Malam Mannir Bayero in Kano on Monday.
Bayero quoted Ningi as saying that the North needed the knowledge and enderly advice of Sunusi II, to address its lingering challenges.
“Emir Sanusi is a beckon of hope and an epitome of knowledge that should be a rallying point if the Northern region is ready to address its problems.
“All tribes and ethnic nationalities in Nigeria today are happy and full of thanks to the Emir for his contribution to the upliftment of the common man and his leadership style that is being carried out with knowledge and wisdom.
“We are full of praises and prayers to Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II for putting his people first before anything and also for his care and concern for the growth and development of Northern Nigeria.We have a leader in him that we will support to get it right,”he said.
The lawmaker lamented that Northern Nigeria was in a serious quagmire that urgently needed the unity and cooperation of its citizens to address the challenges facing it.
“This is not the time for blame games;we need everybody, regardless of tribe, religion or political affiliation;we must come together to salvage the region,” Ningi added.
