Yobe to organise mini domestic trade fair to boost economy

The Yobe State Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Tourism and Solid Minerals, in collaboration with Jalayi Traders Company, Kano, is set to host a mini domestic trade fair in Damaturu, the state capital.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Information Officer of the Ministry, Suleiman Gimba and made available to journalists in Damaturu.
He said, the event which will last for one month is scheduled to hold between 15th April, 2025 to 15th May, 2025 at Ibrahim Gaidam Ultra Modern Market, Damaturu.
“Theme of the event: Boosting Economic Activities of the State through Modern Market Development, the trade fair aims to boost economic activities within the state by developing modern markets across major towns.
“This initiative is in line with the directives of Yobe State Governor, His Excellency, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, who mandated the Honorable Commissioner, Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Tourism and Solid Minerals, Rt. Hon. Kaigama Umar, to organize the event.”
He stated that preparation for the trade fair is currently at the preliminary stage, but said it will be a significant milestone in the state’s efforts to promote economic growth and development.
