Sheikh Isah died at the IBB specialist hospital, Minna, on Saturday night, and will be buried by 2pm after funeral prayers at Minna central mosque on Sunday.
Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has expressed grief over the death, saying it was a sad loss to all Muslims.
The Niger state governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, said the deceased was a humble and peace loving person, who always preached love and mutual coexistence.
Bago added that the deceased lived a selfless and fulfilled life, during which he dedicated his life to the propagation of Islam.
The Syndicate reports that late Sheikh Isah Ibrahim Fari served as the Chief Imam of Minna for over 20 years.
