Jigawa State Investment Summit to attract multimillion dollars investment

The Jigawa State Government says it is targeting multibillion dollars investment through its 2nd Investment Summit scheduled to hold from July 1 to July 2 in Dutse.
Alhaji Sagir Musa Ahmed, the state’s Commissioner for Information, Youths, Sports and Culture, stated this when he briefed newsmen on the Summit with a theme: Unlocking Opportunities, Driving Sustainable Growth for Greater Jigawa State on Monday in Dutse.
Ahmed said that the Summit would attract investment experts, entrepreneurs, multinational companies, captain of industries and financial institutions among others.
“This landmark event reflects the unwavering commitment of the Government of Jigawa State to foster economic transformation, attracting strategic investments and creating sustainable opportunities that will improve the lives of our people.
“Jigawa State is blessed with vast economic potential, a peaceful business environment, fertile agriculture land, energetic youth population and growing infrastructure that position our state as a prime destination for local and international investors.
“The 2026 Investment Summit will serve as a strategic platform to bring together policy makers development partners, investors entrepreneurs, financial institutions and industry leaders to explore viable investment opportunities across key sectors of our development agenda,” he said.
Ahmed said that the Summit would focus on promoting investment partnership in four primary sectors.
“The Summit will focus on promoting investment and partnership in four priority sectors; Agriculture- Mobilising finance and investment for agriculture sector transformation.
“Renewable Energy- Harnessing Jigawa’s alternative energy potential for sustainable development.
“MSME and light manufacturing- MSMEs as catalyst for industrialisation.
“Social services (Education and Health) Building public private partnership for improved service delivery in health and education, ” he said.
Ahmed said that the Summit was not just an event as it was a call to partnership and collective action.
“This Summit is not merely an event, it is a call to partnership and collective action. We believe that sustainable economic growth can only be achieved through collection between government, the private sector and the people.
“During the two-day Summit, participants will engage in high level discussions, sectors presentations, investment showcases, business networking and strategic dialogues designed to unlock new opportunities for growth and prosperity in Jigawa State.
“We therefore invite investors, business leaders, development partners and all stakeholders to take advantage of this unique opportunity to explore the immense potential that Jigawa State has to offer,” he said.
