His Royal Highness, the Emir of Gumel, Alh. Dr. Lawan Ahmed Muhammad Sani (PhD), paid a courtesy and solidarity visit to the palace of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Dutse, Alh. (Dr.) Muhammad Hamim Nuhu Sanusi, CFR, at his palace in Garu, Dutse.
The historic and meaningful visit provided an important opportunity to strengthen the bonds of friendship, mutual respect and solidarity between the Gumel and Dutse Emirates, while reaffirming the importance of unity among the traditional institutions of Jigawa State.
The relationship between the two Emirates has deep historical roots, including ties through marriage, kinship and economic cooperation. This enduring relationship demonstrates that traditional institutions are not merely custodians of history and culture; they can also serve as important bridges for unity, peace, social cohesion and development.
As one of the important traditional institutions in the State, the Dutse Emirate values its cordial relationship with the other Emirates of Jigawa. The visit by the Emir of Gumel further underscores the importance of unity, mutual respect and understanding among the five Emirates of Jigawa State in preserving our cultural heritage, strengthening peaceful coexistence and supporting the collective development of the State.
During the visit, the Emir of Gumel expressed his profound appreciation for the warm reception accorded to him and his delegation by the Emir of Dutse, members of the royal household and the people of Dutse.
DEDA recognises that visits of this nature go beyond traditional courtesy and ceremonial engagements. They provide valuable opportunities for strengthening relationships, promoting mutual understanding and building greater solidarity among traditional leaders and the communities they serve.
The five Emirates of Jigawa State have an important role to play in promoting unity, peace, social cohesion and development. Strengthening relationships among our traditional rulers and fostering mutual understanding among the Emirates therefore remains an important shared responsibility.
DEDA commends the spirit of brotherhood and solidarity demonstrated through this visit and encourages the continued strengthening of peaceful relationships and cooperation among the five Emirates of Jigawa State.
We pray that Almighty Allah continues to grant the Emir of Dutse and the Emir of Gumel good health, wisdom and long life, and continues to grant all our traditional rulers the wisdom and strength to serve and guide their respective communities.
May Almighty Allah continue to strengthen our traditional institutions, unite the five Emirates of Jigawa State, and grant our people lasting peace, unity and development.
